AWP Seattle (2023)

The 2023 AWP Conference brought roughly 9,000 visitors to Seattle and the estimated economic impact was $15 million generated during the four day conference.

The Business of Books Entrepreneurship Workshops (2022)

In fall 2022, Seattle City of Literature hosted three workshops co-created with community to offer resources, build skills and connections for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) literary entrepreneurs. Learn more about the series.

Mayoral Arts Forum (2021)

Indigenous Writers’ Exchanges (2016-2018)

Seattle City of Literature partnered with WORD Christchurch Writers & Readers Festival in Christchurch, New Zealand for an exchange of Indigenous writers from Christchurch and Seattle, with the support of the Christchurch City Council Sister City Programme and the Ngai Tahu tribe.
